In the last three years Fenham pool has had three phases of refurbishment. The 1^st was the refurbishment of the changing rooms during this time we have replaced lockers, cubicles, tiling, and sky light shower facilities and repainting bring the changing area to high standard for our customers. This work was made possible with the help and aid The Big lottery.

The Second Phase was carried out in July 2009 during this time we had structural repairs to our roof, replacement of our windows, fire door and replacement of guttering around the pool. This work was carried out by Frank Haslam Milan in conjunction with Your Homes Newcastle and supported by Newcastle city Council.

Our Third Phase was completed in December 2009 the work was made possible by support for our three local Wards and support  Newcastle city council with funding from the Art & Leisure Trust as well as from our local ward committees. During this time we achieved a huge amount of work this was possible with the help from all our contractors and Team. During this time our objective was to refurbish our pool area, the pool hall heating was very old and we have replaced this which was a very in depth task how ever this was achieved in our projected time, we also had the pool tiled, repainted and replacement of the sky light in the pool hall. The pool was opened on the 4^th of January 2010 with a fantastic effort from our team at the pool.
